MEDFORD, Mass. — A power outage left thousands without power in Medford and hundreds in the dark in Malden.
Medford Police say the outage is in the North Medford/Fulton Heights area, extending as far as Malden Center.
National Grid is responding to the scene. Power is expected to return sometime between 4 and 7 p.m., according to police.
At their peak, outages in Medford impacted more than 2,300 customers. Power has been restored for most people in the city, where only two customers were without power as of 3:40 p.m., according to MEMA’s outage map.
The map shows 728 customers still without power in Malden.
