CHELSEA, Mass. — A popular eatery known for its steak tips, ribs, and hearty Italian dishes is closing its Chelsea restaurant and referring customers to two new locations.
In a Facebook post, Floramo’s announced that its Chelsea location will be closing on Sept. 9. The restaurant has been a staple of the Chelsea restaurant scene since 1984.
“You will still be able to enjoy your favorite Floramo’s dishes in our Wakefield and Malden locations,” the restaurant wrote in the post.

The Dockside on Main Street in Wakefield recently began transitioning to Floramo’s Wakefield.
Floramo’s has confirmed that is also taking over the Dockside on Centre Street in Malden. That restaurant closed its doors back in March.
Hidden Boston reported that Floramo’s could possibly reopen the Chelsea location at some point.
