MALDEN, Mass — A popular pub with multiple locations has closed its doors in Malden.
John Brewers Tavern is closing its Malden location.
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the permanent closing of our Malden location at the end of the day today, Monday July 24, 2023.” the owners wrote on Facebook.
The American eatery and pub was known for its classic pub food, including wings, and quesadillas.
“The last 15 years would not have been possible without the support of our family, management, staff, and guests. We are proud of what we accomplished in Malden,” the family added. “We are extremely thankful for every staff member who has worked with us, and for every guest that walked through the door.”
“We have had so many great times in Malden. Closing is not an easy thing to do, but it is the right decision at this time, for our family and our other locations,” the owners wrote.
Both the Waltham and Oak Bluffs locations will remain open and seven of the Malden location’s employees will transfer to work at one of the other locations.
