BOSTON — Police are on the lookout for a man and a child following reports from a witness that the girl was taken on Hiawatha Road in Mattapan Monday morning.
The Boston Police Department told Boston 25 News they were alerted to 17 Hiawatha Road at approximately 6:55 a.m. after receiving reports that a dark-colored SUV took a girl between the ages of 5-10 before driving away towards Blue Hill Avenue.
Police say the witness told them they saw a Hispanic girl with braids and barrettes in her hair. The driver of the SUV is described as a Hispanic male, medium build, wearing a tan jacket.
Boston Police did confirm they are still investigating the report, but add that they have not received any reports of a missing girl.
