FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots are dusting off some classic gear for game 5 against the Detroit Lions.

The team will don the vintage red jerseys and “Pat Patriot” logo helmets when they take the field Sunday afternoon.

The old school look was the team’s primary uniform until 1993, and they’ve only worn the alternate uniform sparingly since.

The last time the team wore the red jerseys was in October of 2012 in a win at home against the New York Jets.

The Patriots have won nine of the twelve games when they’ve worn this alternate uniform.

The rest of the stadium will travel back in time Sunday, too.

All week long, fans have been voting on designs they want to see on everything from the field wrap, to the flags, to the locker room doors and rally towels.

Kickoff Sunday is at 1 p.m. You can watch the game only on Boston 25 News.
