ROCKPORT, Mass. — A Massachusetts couple plans to buy a new car and pay off their mortgage after they recently won a $1 million lottery prize on a scratch ticket.
William Macaione, of Rockport, was joined by his wife Elaine Engemann when claiming his “$4,000,000 Money Bags” instant ticket game prize. The Massachusetts Lottery Commission says the couple opted for a one-time payment of $650,000.
Macaione purchased the ticket at Rockport Market at 21 Broadway in Rockport.
The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.
