FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Multiple groups are teaming up to help support children of military families by filling over 30,000 backpacks on Monday, August 16.
The groups that collaborated in the event are the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, and Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation
Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation donated backpacks, while the Patriots, Revolution, and MMSF have been collecting donations of school supplies to ensure that families have everything they need for the upcoming school year.
The event will be taking place at 10 a.m. at the Foxborough Terminals. Through the help of numerous volunteers, it is expected to take two full days to sort through donations and fill over 30,000 school bags.
