MBTA: Person dies after intentionally going under train, Orange Line service in area suspended

MBTA: Certain Green Line service restored after utility work caused tunnel damage The MBTA suspended train service on the Green Line Saturday afternoon between Arlington and Government Center due to apparent tunnel damage from utility work.

BOSTON — Orange Line service has been suspended between North Station and Back Bay after a person under a train at State Street has died, the MBTA said on Wednesday night.

The unidentified person intentionally entered the train’s right of way, the MBTA said.

Shuttle buses have been extended to North Station.

Commuters are being advised to use the Green Line for downtown service.
