WATERTOWN, Mass. — An iconic New England-based eatery will be offering up 97-cent pizzas later this month at one of its Massachusetts locations in celebration of the start of summer.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana says it plans to cook up small, single-topping pizzas for just 97 cents at its Watertown restaurant on Eldridge Avenue from June 24 through June 26.

The offer is only good for in-store orders between the hours of 11 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. There will be a limit of one pizza per person.

Frank Pepe’s, which originated in New Haven, Connecticut, is also celebrating 97 years of business.

New Haven-style pizza is distinct in its thin, oblong crust, characteristic charring, chewy texture, and limited use of melting cheeses.

The first day of summer is Tuesday, June 21.
