MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. — A 49-year-old man from Middleborough died after an ATV accident early Saturday morning.
Middleborough Police got a call around 12:40 a.m. that an ATV had crashed into a cranberry bog off of Stone Street and was under water with the driver still inside.
When officers got to the scene, they went into the pond and attempted to rescue the man.
He was brought to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth where he died.
The accident is being investigated by the Middleborough Police Department and the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
