Lottery ticket sold in Mass. hits for $16.35M

WARE, Mass. — A $16.35M winning lottery ticket was sold in Ware, Mass., according to the Massachusetts Lottery.

The ticket was for the Saturday, September 10th drawing of Megabucks Doubler. This is the game’s largest jackpot since it launched in April of 2009, according to lottery officials.

The cash option for the prize is $12M.

Prior to this win, the previous largest Megabucks Doubler jackpot was for $13.82M. That win came in March of 2012 and was sold in Wakefield, lottery officials said.

The winning ticket was sold at a West Street Cumberland Farms, according to officials.

The winning numbers were 3-10-15-17-26-38.

The owner of the winning ticket has one year from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
