Longtime Boston talk radio host Howie Carr recovering after health scare during Monday’s show

BOSTON — The family of Howie Carr, a longtime talk radio host in Boston says he is doing better after a health scare during a show on Monday.

Listeners on Howie’s show became alarmed when he appeared to pass out behind the microphone. The station ran commercials for several extra minutes before bringing on another host.

Monday night, Howie’s family tweeted from his account saying, “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayer for Howie. During his show today, he fainted. He is getting care now and doing better.”

His wife tells Boston 25 news that one of their grandchildren had been sick with Norovirus and it spread to Howie.

He is going to take a few days off from the show to get some rest and recover but they expect him to make a full recovery.
