LAWRENCE, Mass. — ‘Hubcat’, the kitten who was caught in the wheel of a truck in Lawrence earlier in November has found his forever home.
According to the MSPCA, a woman named Sarah Maillet who lives in Southern New Hampshire has adopted him.
Hubcat will have a tuxedo cat brother named Leo DiCatPrio.
Hubcat was four-weeks-old when he came into the care of the MSPCA on November 4.
Animal control officers were attempting to catch the kitten and his siblings when he got scared and hid in the tire, where he got stuck.
MSPCA veterinarians were initially concerned that Hubcat would need to have his leg amputated, but they were able to save it.
They did, however, need to amputate two of his toes.
“His foster family says Hubcat is bright and resilient. He’s learned to walk just fine without the missing toes and has even started kneading with his formerly injured foot.”
Hubcat finished his treatment and went to his new home on December 22.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
