Five people displaced after fire tears through Ferry Street home in Everett

EVERETT, Mass. — Firefighters responded to a house on Ferry Street in Everett Monday night after heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the home.

Fire crews were on the scene just after 10 p.m. battling the flames. Officials said the fire started in the basement of the home.

Five people are displaced and no one was injured, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
