BOSTON — Health officials are warning parents after a popular children’s cup was found to contain unsafe levels of lead.
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled 8oz and 12oz CUPKIN double-walled stainless steel cups due to lead contaminants in the product.
Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and causes long-term health issues that make it difficult to learn, harm hearing and speech, and cause behavioral problems. Officials are urging consumers to contact Soojimus for a full refund.
