MERRIMACK, NH — A Colebrook woman is facing multiple charges after police say she drove erratically, struck several signs, and refused to stop for officers in Merrimack.

According to the Merrimack police, officers were called to the area of Wire Road around 11:48 AM on Friday for reports of a vehicle operating erratically.

The caller told police the vehicle had struck multiple signs and become stuck on a signpost. The female driver was also seen falling face-first while exiting the vehicle and was believed to be intoxicated, police said.

Police later located the vehicle on Hillside Terrace and attempted a traffic stop. Investigators say the driver refused to stop and accelerated away.

The vehicle eventually became stuck in traffic on Baboosic Lake Road, where officers were able to safely make contact with the driver.

Police said the woman refused to get out of the vehicle and was ultimately removed and taken into custody.

The driver was identified as Lisa Worster of Colebrook, New Hampshire.

Worster was charged with Aggravated DWI, Disobeying an Officer, Resisting Detention, and Conduct After an Accident.

She was taken to the Merrimack Police Department, where she was processed and held on preventative detention.

Worster is scheduled to appear in 9th Circuit Merrimack District Court on Aug. 24.

The allegations have not been proven in court, and Worster is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
