The Coast Guard is continuing to search for four fishermen in the waters off Provincetown after a fishing vessel sank early Monday morning.
The USCG Northeast said on Twitter the 82-foot fishing vessel Emmy Rose sank with a four-member crew aboard about 20 miles northeast of Provincetown Monday around 1 a.m. The boat is based out of Portland, Maine.
Crews from Air Station Cape Cod said crews searched overnight with a Coast Guard cutter boat, and an air search was resuming Tuesday morning.

The First District Coast Guard Command Center in Boston said in a Monday statement that it was alerted by notification from the boat’s emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) around 1 a.m. When there was no response from anyone on the boat’s satellite phone, a search crew was sent to their last known location.
A Monday search with several Coast Guard vessels and a helicopter uncovered debris and an empty life raft at the location of the boat’s last known position, but no sign of the missing crew members, the statement said. Conditions in the search area were 6 to 8-foot seas and 30 knot winds Monday.
