BOSTON — Residents are being asked to avoid the area of Centre Street and Pond Street in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood Monday afternoon after a broken pipe flooded the area.
Boston firefighters and Boston Water and Sewer are on scene. Officials tell Boston 25 News that a pipe that feeds the fire hydrant broke.
Traffic between St John Street and Lakeville Road is being impacted.
Officials say residents with rusty water should let it run and it will go clean.
The issue is expected to be repaired by Monday evening.
