BOSTON — Authorities are warning the public against purchasing or selling counterfeit tickets ahead of Wednesday night’s NBA Conference Finals Game 1 between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat.
Boston Police are urging fans to only buy tickets from authorized ticket agencies and official vendors.
“Fans who purchase tickets from a secondary source are taking a chance and do so at the buyer’s own risk,” they wrote in a social media statement.
If you believe you are a victim of buying a fraudulent ticket or have any information about the selling of counterfeit tickets, you are asked to contact the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS or texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
