Boston police search for hit-and-run driver who left pedestrian with serious injuries

BOSTON — Boston police are searching for the driver who hit a pedestrian with their car in Dorchester on Sunday night.

The incident happened around 8:45 p.m. on Mass. Ave near Allstate Road, close to the busy South Bay Center. A portion of Mass. Ave. was shut down for hours while police and accident reconstruction teams investigated.

Boston Police said Monday morning that the victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

A shoe could be seen lying in the middle of the road along with several evidence markers.

Police have not released a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
