The Boston Fire Department responded to a pair of overnight fires in the Dorchester and South Boston neighborhoods of the city early Friday morning, the department announced.
At 3:15 a.m., officials were called to a fire at a McDonald’s on Washington Street in Dorchester. No one was injured in the incident, which was contained to one building.

Around the same time, companies were also called to another fire, this time in the basement of a home at 839 East 4th Street in South Boston. Nine residents of that multi-family building were displaced, but no injuries were reported.
The causes of both fires are currently under separate investigations.
