Blizzard forces local couple to change wedding plans

Saturday’s blizzard forced a local couple to change their wedding plans 24-hours before the big day.

Sydney and Coty Cossi scheduled to tie the knot at Olio’s in Peabody, that was until they saw the forecasted snow totals for the area. So, with only 24-hours to come up with a plan, with the help of their wedding planner Sarah Narcus, the couple had to think fast.

They moved the wedding from Olio’s to the Peabody Marriott, where most guests stayed. Despite the blizzard, the couple had 130 people attend the wedding.

In an interview with Boston 25 News on Monday, Sydney and Coty said it was hard-throwing out a lot of the plans they made, but the wedding was incredible and unforgettable.

With a winter wedding in the books, the couple made their way for warmer weather. The couple will honeymoon in the Galapagos Islands and then make their way to Machu Picchu.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
