BOSTON — A new ranking has named two Massachusetts restaurants among the 50 best places to eat in the United States in 2025.
The New York Times recently published “The Restaurant List 2025,” featuring eateries that "all have delicious food and a mastery of craft, but also a generosity of spirit and a singular point of view."
In compiling the ranking, the Times says 14 of its reporters and editors took 76 flights to eat more than 200 meals in 33 states.
“We eat like you do, with the same hope for a meal to remember, to be welcomed and delighted. These are 50 places where we found just that,” the report stated.
A handful of New England eateries earned recognition, including two spots in the Bay State.
The local restaurants recognized by the Times were as follows:
- Haring’s in Noank, Connecticut
- Pilgrim’s Inn in Deer Isle, Maine
- Sammy’s Deluxe in Rockland, Maine
- La Padrona in Boston, Massachusetts
- McGonagle’s in Boston, Massachusetts
