BOSTON — You may have recently been informed on Facebook to ignore a friend request from a Jayden K. Smith because he’s a hacker, but the whole thing is a hoax.
<em>"Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received. Hold your finger down on the message. At the bottom in the middle it will say forward. Hit that then click on the names of those in your list and it will send to them."</em>
It's just one in a series of these fake warnings that have no validity, according to nonsense.com. They warn of a "nefarious hacker who will compromise your security should you accept them into your digital life."
Simply adding someone as a friend will not compromise your accounts, although it’s never recommended to add someone as a friend if you don’t know who they are.
