BLACKSTONE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Demolition crews tore down the Blackstone house of squalor on Tuesday.

Last month, the town Board of Health voted unanimously to raze the home at 23 Saint Paul Street. The house was full of trash, human waste and dead animals. The remains of three dead infants were also discovered inside.

Four children living in the home are now in state custody. Their mother, Erika Murray, is charged with fetal death concealment.

The town has been unable to contact the Rhode Island woman who owns the home.

The demolition cost about $40,000 and the town will place a lien on the property to cover it.
