LEXINGTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The annual Patriots' Day Battle reenactment took place on the Lexington Battle Green Monday.
The reenactment commemorates the opening battle of the American Revolutionary War between American colonists and the British Army. The first battle took place on April 19, 1775.
Parades and other events are also held throughout the area in honor of Patriots' Day.
