FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Hundreds of people camped out in a parking lot in freezing temperatures for one common goal: a year of free chicken.

The Chick-Fil-A opening on Worcester Road in Framingham attracted a large crowd Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The first 100 people in line for the opening will get a free chicken sandwich meal every week for a year.

The Chick-Fil-A is the fifth installment of the fast food chain in the Commonwealth. In 2012, Chick-Fil-A was blocked in its efforts to open a restaurant along the Freedom Trail in Boston over its views against same-sex marriage.
