ORANGE, Mass. — Two children are dead after a house fire in Orange Saturday.
The single family home on Mechanic St. caught on fire around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found two children injured on the second floor. Seven-year-old Lena and her eight-year-old friend, Victoria, got trapped in an upstairs bedroom and could not escape. The girls had been playing dress up when the fire broke out.
The fire quickly went to three alarms, damaging the second floor of the home.
The two girls and Leena's father were taken to the hospital. Late Sunday morning, FOX25 learned the two girls had died. Leena's father remains at the hospital.

Investigators are still trying to find out what caused the fire.
