WESTFORD, Mass. — A bear roaming around Westford Monday night didn't want to see a pumpkin leftover from Halloween go to waste. So, the bear ate it.
Kevin Luck shared home surveillance video with Boston 25 News that shows the bear clawing at the pumpkin that was on the front steps of his home on Concord Road.
The bear eventually picks up the pumpkin with its mouth and walks off.
Luck joked that at least the bear was courteous enough to wait until after Halloween to steal the pumpkin.
Last week, police in neighboring Littleton warned black bear sightings are becoming more frequent in town as the animals get ready to hibernate for the winter. Littleton Police said recent bear sightings were reported in the Whychwood Heights and Hartwell Avenue neighborhoods.
