BROCKTON, Mass. — A hazmat situation unfolded at a UPS facility in Brockton Tuesday morning.
Crews were called to the building on Oakhill Way after employees loading a truck began to notice something leaking that gave off strong fumes.
Employees called 911 and a hazmat situation was declared by first responders when the arrived at the facility.
Crews wearing protective gear worked to remove nitric acid that had somehow began to leak from a container and no injuries were reported.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the leaking chemical.
No injuries were reported.
