BOSTON — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski didn't plan on partying at the Super Bowl parade Tuesday, but the '"fans were asking for it."
That's what Gronk told FOX25 after the parade, during which he downed innumerable bears, danced and 'Gronk-spiked' a number of beverages.
"To tell you the truth I wasn't even planning on partying coming on this, but the fans were asking for it,” he said.
The injured tight end had to sit out of the Super Bowl, but didn't want to miss out on the fun of the parade.
"I know I wasn't a part of playing in the game, but I love being a part of this team," Gronk said to the crowd at City Hall after the parade. "This is just so amazing and you guys are the best fans ever!"
