Girl loads Barbie car full of toys to help neighbors who lost house in fire

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. — A photograph of a 4-year-old Michigan girl displaying her generosity while driving her Barbie car has gone viral on social media.

A picture on WXMI's Facebook page shows Becca VanZyll with toys loaded into her Barbie car. The girl was delivering the toys as gifts to three little girls in her hometown of Hudsonville. The girls' family had lost everything in a house fire earlier this week.

The toys were meant to be birthday and Christmas presents for Becca. Her gesture has touched the community and members of the Walker-Vu family, whose house was gutted by the fire.

“I cried, I got teared up,” Sue Walker told WXMI, “It was unbelievable, for the little girl to donate her own toys and items of hers to three little girls that she doesn’t even know. She’s a special little girl.”

The Hudsonville community set up a GoFundMe page for the family, and the goal of $1,000 already has been surpassed, with more than $4,700 pledged.
