MANCHESTER, N.H. — A former pastor in Manchester, N.H. has been accused of several sexual assaults.
Manchester police began investigating Stephen Jesmer, 37, several months ago when they were told of inappropriate behavior between the former pastor and a minor.
Jesmer was a pastor at the Dialogue Church on Pine Street at the time of the alleged assaults, police say.
He has been charged with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count of witness tampering.
“It shocks me. You would never know. Will your neighbors are? You don't know. He seem like a family person,” Jesmer’s neighbor Bency Jean-Baptiste said.
Police say Jesmer turned himself in Monday night.
