DORCHESTER, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in Dorchester Friday night.
At around 8 p.m., a fire in a triple-decker, six-family home was reported at 34 Bellevue St. The fire quickly escalated to a second alarm, but firefighters were able to control the fire by about 8:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say the fire was caused by a spark from frayed wiring on a Christmas tree on the second floor.
