Fenway Franks top 'hot dog madness' bracket

BOSTON — Fenway Franks are best hot dog in the MLB, according to the National Hot Dog Council.

Fenway Park is consistently one of the most expensive ball parks in the country, but we all know it's one of the best.

What’s news to us is there’s a National Hot Dog Council.

According to the council’s research, Red Sox fans and Fenway attendees will eat more than 850,000 hot dogs over the course of the season. That puts the Sox sixth in the MLB for projected hot dogs consumed (PRJ-HDC for the stat line fanatics).

In the ‘Hot Dog Madness Bracket,’ Fenway Franks emerged victorious as the nation’s greatest ballpark sausage.

“It’s no secret that Boston fans are passionate about their teams and we learned that passion extends to the concession stand as well,” Mittenthal said. “Even with all of the new hot dog and sausages available, the Red Sox’s win is proof that there’s still plenty of love for the classics.”

The final four hot dogs were served by the Washington Nations, Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners, according to the bracket.
