TOWNSEND (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 40-year-old woman was killed on Friday afternoon when a hay wagon overturned at a farm in Townsend.
Police say the accident occurred at Brookside Farm on Wheeler Road. When they arrived on scene, police removed the 40-year-old woman from beneath the wagon.
The woman, who was an employee of the farm, was taken to Nashoba Valley Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the death. The woman's name is being withheld while officials work to notify her family.
