Exec. director of Stoughton Housing Authority allegedly stole pills from elderly woman

STOUGHTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The executive director of Stoughton's Housing Authority was arrested in connection with stolen prescription drugs taken from a housing authority unit.

Greg Bartlett was arrested Friday night for the thefts and charged with larceny from a building, breaking and entering during the daytime, theft of a controlled substance and larceny of a person over 65 years of age. All of the charges are felonies.

The victim was a 90 year old woman who lived in the Housing Authority's 4 Capen St. Elderly Housing unit. Her family noticed that she was often missing vicodin pills, and set up a nanny cam to catch the culprit. That nanny cam allegedly caught Bartlett committing the crime on tape.

According to a Stoughton news blog, all of the residents in the area are required to give a list of their medications to the housing authority, and Bartlett reportedly had access to that list.
