Duxbury police officers honored for saving man's life

DUXBURY, Mass. — Two Duxbury police officers were honored Thursday for saving a man’s life after he collapsed at the gym.

Officers Stephen Hall and Scott Kane were presented with the Massachusetts Coalition of Police (Mass C.O.P.) President’s Award during the organization’s annual convention.

Both officers were off-duty in February when a man in his 50s collapsed while doing curls at the Planet Fitness in Hanover.

Hall and Kane had no idea either one was at the gym, until they looked up while working on the man.

They used the gym's AED to resuscitate the man, who was expected to make a full recovery.
