Dracut Police announce missing man has been found

The Dracut Police Department announced on Sunday morning that they had located Mark Bertolami, the man they announced was missing on Saturday night after last being seen in the area of Mammoth Road in Dracut.

In the announcement, which came on Twitter, the police department thanked their counterparts in Bedford, noting that the Bedford police department safely located the missing man.

The department originally asked for help from the area, issuing a statement that described Bertolami as a 51-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Their report - issued by Dracut Police Chief Peter Bartlett - also included a full description of Bertolami, and told of his whereabouts when he was last seen around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Dracut police originally tweeted saying they were searching for Bertolami just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. The missing man was described as last seen wearing glasses, a brown jacket, jeans and white sneakers.

Chief Peter Bartlett tweeted out minutes after the initial missing report that Bertolami suffered from Alzheimer's and might have been disoriented.
