Debris from roadwork falls on cars in Somerville

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Debris from highway construction fell on several cars early Thursday morning.

The drivers were on the portion of the McGrath Highway that runs under the I-93 overpass. Crews had been tearing up the roadway on the overpass as part of a paving project when the debris fell around 1 a.m.
    
According to State Police, four vehicles were hit. The back window of one was shattered.
    
No one was hurt and the cars did not need to be towed away.
    
Construction has resumed.
