BROCKTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- At Pet Supply Plus in Brockton, pet food and chew toys are a regular sight -- but, on Friday afternoon, they were strewn across the floor mixed with glass chards, surrounding a crashed car.
It all happened around 10:30 a.m., when police say a driver was mistakenly in reverse instead of drive. Witnesses say the car was in the parking lot and backed right in through that window. Skyfox was there as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
The 89-year-old driver wasn't hurt, nor was anyone inside. The damage was very extensive -- the car took out a large chunk of the building. The cleanup will cost an estimated $50,000 dollars.
Officials say that all the pets inside are fine. Outside, pups are being turned away from the closed-down supply store.
