MEDWAY, Mass. — March Madness has hit Medway.
Time was winding down and hopes were fading when a fourth grade girls basketball team from Medway pulled off a miracle finish.
Four seconds remained on the clock as Medway trailed Dover-Sherborn by one point. Delaney Condon inbounded the ball to Tillie DeVolder, who dribbled the length of the court and delivered the game-winning basket as time expired in a 22-21, double overtime win by Medway.
Medway, coached by Ed White and Marilyn Topkins, advanced in the playoffs thanks to the buzzer-beater.
