The U.S. Postal Service is scrambling Thursday, their busiest delivery day of the year.
The South Boston Postal Annex can sort 11,000 packages an hour. Earlier in the week, the U.S. Post Office took in a record 611 million packages.
“The number of packages delivered this year has just broken all records,” said Mike Powers with USPS.
In order to keep the deliveries on track, the post office is expanding its hours.
If you can't make it to the counter before it closes, try to pull around to the back door and see if you can get a postal worker to still pull your package.
