MANCHESTER, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A bus carrying no passengers crashed off I-93 Sunday morning, careening into an embankment off the highway.
The driver, the only occupant of the bus, was not seriously injured.
At around 10:15 a.m., the bus was traveling north when the driver attempted to slow for oncoming traffic, according to New Hampshire State Police. He lost control of the bus, crossing the highway's high speed lane, over the guardrail and into an embankment 70 feet below.
The road was covered with slush and snow, as it had been snowing for several hours before the crash, police said. Most lanes of the highway around the crash scene were closed for four hours as responders worked to remove the bus.
