BROCKTON, Mass. -- Police in Brockton said a child has been found safely after it was initially reported that he was in a stolen SUV.
The reported SUV theft happened on North Montello Street around 5 p.m., but the child was found safe a short time later and police determined he had not been in the stolen vehicle.
Brockton police told Boston 25 News they're still working to understand what happen and learn how the confusion about the child being in the vehicle happened.
