Brewster teacher investigated for similar assault charges at previous school

Court documents reveal that Brewster Elementary School teacher Noah Campbell-Halley was investigated for alleged misconduct at a school where he previously worked.

Campbell-Halley faced a judge Thursday on charges that he showed two first-graders lewd videos on his iPad and touched them in the computer room.

The 36-year-old teacher was investigated for similar claims at the Cape Cod Children's Place Preschool in Eastham when he worked there in 2010. Campbell-Halley was investigated after suspicious he committed an indecent assault and battery on a 4-year-old student.

Eastham Police Chief Ed Kulhawik tells Boston 25 News:

"Based on all the information present, the investigation produced nothing that could be substantiated and no charges were filed."

Chief Kulhawik says the Cape Cod District Attorney and the Department of Children and Families were also involved, but there wasn't enough to file charges.

When Boston 25 News reporter Crystal Haynes went to talk to staff at the Children's Place, they kicked her off the property. She then went to the listed address of the executive director at the time, Catherine MaCaulay, for answers, but no one came to the door.

The Brewster Police Chief says parents should talk to their kids.

"Who is asking you to keep secrets and if somebody's asking you to keep secrets, parents should dig a little deeper into that," said Chef Heath Eldridge.

Eldridge says his office has not ruled out the possibility that more families could come forward, but their focus has been calming parents' fears and giving them tools to talk to their kids.

"We're just reaffirming with parents that if they feel it's appropriate they should have conversations with their children about whether or not they've been exposed to anything about this," said Eldridge.

DCF says it is working with police on their investigation into this latest claim - and the one reported eight years ago.
