Boston Police seeking 2 men accused of assault in Southie

BOSTON — Two men are being sought in connection to an assault in South Boston, according to police.

Officers were called to Third Street around 1 a.m. Sunday, May 12, where they found a man they say had been kicked and punched by two assailants.

The men exchanged words regarding a loud noise and police say that's when the two beat the victim.

The victim, who only wanted to be identified as Chris, told Boston 25 News he just got home from his surprise 40th birthday party when he encountered a large group of people in the street. He asked them to leave, and they did, but Chris says two came back.

Chris was left bloodied and bruised with fractures to his facial area and a torn pectoral muscle. He told us he may have to get reconstructive surgery.

According to police, the victim described the first man as a white male with blonde hair about six feet tall wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. The other he described as a white male with black hair wearing a polo shirt and blue jeans.

Police released surveillance footage that captured part of the attack. They are looking to identify the two men in the video apparently assaulting the other man.
