Boston Mayor's Special brings discounts on events for the family

BOSTON — The holidays are quickly approaching and with it, our pockets steadily grow thinner. Mayor Marty Walsh is giving the gift of discounts this season on fun for the whole family with the Mayor’s Holiday Special.

The special features price reductions of as much as 50 percent on more than 500-holiday performances. Walsh partnered with ArtsBoston to celebrate performing arts in the Greater Boston area.

Hot items on the discount list include several renditions of the holiday classic The Nutcracker, such as Mikko Nissinen’s rendering presented by the Boston Ballet and Jose Mateo’s interpretation presented by the Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre.

The two-month special also comprises discounted tickets for puppet shows, ice skating spectaculars, and more:
