BOSTON — Pop superstar Beyoncé is offering a scholarship to young women and those at Berklee College of Music in Boston are among the select list of those eligible, according to an announcement from the singer Tuesday morning.

The performer's organization posted the announcement explaining the foundation of the "Formation" scholarship, which will be awarded to young women "who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident."

But the scholarship is limited to students at Howard University, Parsons School of Design, Spelman College and Berklee College of Music.
