Armed robbery after burial services in Natick cemetery

NATICK (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Natick Police believe an armed robbery inside Dell Park Cemetery stemmed from a recent murder in New York City.

Investigators received a report around 3 p.m. on Saturday of an armed robbery that occurred after burial services within Dell Park Cemetery.

When police arrived on the scene, there were no suspects remaining. Witnesses claim that following the burial, between three and four vehicles surrounded a vehicle containing five victims.

The victims handed over cash, cell phones, and identification allegedly after suspects began making demands and two handguns were shown.

Investigators believe the robbery was an attempt to recover information related to a recent murder in New York City.

No one was hurt during the robbery. All of the parties involved were known to each other. This was not a random act.

An investigation is ongoing.
